no not about the blood issue, though i would say yes to that.. what i'm talking about is in regard to the preaching work.
i recently commented on a thread that i thought field service was an inconvenient necessity when you are a witness.
many active ones probably feel the same way today, as it is their ticket to paradise earth.
Two words: Free Labour
When i was a kid, me and all the other JW kids used to laugh at the picture on the inside of the song book! Anybody find that pic funny as a kid? It's just so comical how they have their mouths open like that!
But at least we know there were only 2 of each kind.
OK I have to throw my two bob in here.
I personally thought the game was enthralling and had a lot of trouble keeping away from the telly while it was on.
After watching this game I'm pretty convinced Australia has definitely lost the edge it has held in world cricket for so many years. I thought the India series was an anomaly and the Aussies would bounce back more aggressively than ever. But I was wrong. Just as India did, South Africa exposed Australia's lack of bowling depth. Australia's batting, while satisfactory and should've have been enough to win the test, was no where near as dominant as it used to be.
But to be fair, although technically SA won by 6 wickets, taking into account their very long batting tail, it was in practice more like a 2 wicket win. In other words SA just scraped through. But probs to the SA batsmen. They remained calm under pressure and that won them the game.
Bring on the Boxing day test!!

"The guilt of the parents for allowing a fellow member of their church to defile their sons is palpable."
I thought that was a really interesting quote from the judge.
But what I want to know is in what way were the parents negligent? What were the signs that there sons were being abused. Did they suspect and do nothing?

simply horrible.
what a shame; the original australian version was hilarious!
Did they actually show the aussie Kath & Kim in the US? Why can't they just show the original Aussie? Why do show's always have to be americanised for them to show in the US.
We don't australianise american shows!!

[inkling].
Giving the crows jobs reminded me of The Life of Brian. Enjoy :D
-------------------------
BRIAN: Yes. Consider the lilies...
ELSIE: Consider the lilies?
BRIAN: Uh, well, the birds, then.
EDDIE: What birds?
BRIAN: Any birds.
EDDIE: Why?
BRIAN: Well, have they got jobs?
ARTHUR: Who?
BRIAN: The birds.
EDDIE: Have the birds got jobs?!
FRANK: What's the matter with him?
ARTHUR: He says the birds are scrounging.
BRIAN: Oh, uhh, no, the point is the birds. They do all right. Don't they?
FRANK: Well, good luck to 'em.
EDDIE: Yeah. They're very pretty.
BRIAN: Okay, and you're much more important than they are, right? So, what are you worrying about? There you are. See?
EDDIE: I'm worrying about what you have got against birds.
BRIAN: I haven't got anything against the birds. Consider the lilies.
ARTHUR: He's having a go at the flowers now.
